UPTET Exam City Slip 2026 was released

Today, on 22nd June 2026, the UPTET Exam City Slip 2026 was released. UPESSC i.e. The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission on this date enable the download facility of test city intimations in order for about 20 lakh candidates who applied for this test to verify their test centers beforehand.

Key Exam Dates & Highlights

  • Exam Dates: Scheduled from July 2 to July 4, 2026.
  • Mode of Exam: Offline (Pen-and-Paper/OMR sheet).
  • Admit Card Release: Will be available on June 30, 2026.
  • Crucial Note: This city slip is not the final admit card. It only lists your designated exam city, exam date, and shift timing. The exact address of your exam centre will be displayed on the final admit card.

How to Download the UPTET Exam City Slip

You can view and download your slip by following these steps:
  1. Visit the Portal: Go directly to the official website at UPESSC.
  2. Locate the Link: On the homepage, look for the text reading "UP TET 2026 City Intimation Slip" under the notifications section.
  3. Log In: Fill in your required login credentials, which include your Application Number and Password (or Date of Birth).
  4. Submit & Download: Complete the security captcha, click submit, and save the generated PDF file to your device.

Shift Schedule for Exam Days

The offline examination will take place in two shifts each day: 
  • Paper 1 (Primary Level - Classes 1 to 5): Conducted during the Morning Shift.
  • Paper 2 (Upper Primary Level - Classes 6 to 8): Conducted during the Afternoon Shift. 

Exam Pattern

The UPTET comprises of 2 papers offline, MCQ pattern Paper 1 (Classes I-V), and Paper II (Classes VI-VIII) Each paper includes 150 questions of 150 marks and candidates get 2.5 hours duration for completing any one paper. There will be no negative marks for UPTET.

This paper evaluates candidates who wish to teach primary classes. All subjects are mandatory.

Key Marking Scheme & Rules

  • Question Type: Objective (Multiple Choice Questions). 
  • Weightage: 1 mark for every correct answer.
  • Negative Marking: None.
  • Qualifying Cutoff:
    • General Candidates: 60% (90 out of 150 marks).
    • Reserved Categories (SC/ST/OBC/PH/etc.): 55% (82 out of 150 marks).
