CUET UG 2026 Registration Last Date and Fees

Common University Entrance Test (CUET (UG) – 2026 will be conducted in 13 mediums across India and abroad for admission into the Undergraduate Programme for all the Central Universities (CUs) and State/Participating Universities in India for the academic year 2026-27.


Registration Last Date

Online Submission of Application Form:  03-30 January 2026 (up to 11.50 PM)

Last date of successful transaction of fee through Credit/Debit Card/Net-Banking/UPI: 31 January 2026 (up to 11.50 PM)

Correction in Particulars: 02-04 February 2026 (up to 11.50 PM)

Announcement of the City of Examination To be announced later on the website

Downloading Admit Cards from the NTA website To be announced later on the website

Date of Examination:  11-31 May 2026 (Tentative)

Registration will be online at  https://cuet.nta.nic.in


Exam Fee

 Candidates may choose upto a maximum of five (05) subjects including languages and General Aptitude Test. Fees will be calculated based on the number of subjects chosen by the candidates. The following fee structure is applicable for CUET (UG) - 2026:


General (UR) ₹ 1000/-(upto 3 subjects)     ₹ 400/- (For each Additional Subject)

(OBC)- (NCL)* / EWS** ₹ 900/- (upto 3 subjects)    ₹ 375/- (For each Additional Subject)

SC/ST/PwD/PwBD/ Third gender ₹ 800/-(upto 3 subjects)     ₹ 350/- (For each Additional Subject)

Centres outside India ₹ 4500/-(upto 3 subjects)      ₹ 1800/- (For each Additional Subject)


Syllabus

Language Subjects: Language to be tested through reading comprehension (based on different types of passages–Factual, Literary, and Narrative), Literary Aptitude and Vocabulary

Domain Subjects: As per NCERT syllabus

General Aptitude Test: general knowledge, current affairs, general mental ability, numerical ability, quantitative reasoning (Simple application of basic mathematical concepts arithmetic/algebra geometry/mensuration/statistics), Logical and Analytical Reasoning

Candidates may choose upto a maximum of five (05) subjects including languages and General Aptitude Test irrespective of the subjects opted in class XII.*


Mode of the Exam: Computer Based Test (CBT) mode


Eligibility

For appearing in the CUET (UG) - 2026, there is no age limit for the candidates. The candidates who have passed the class 12 /equivalent examination or are appearing in 2026 can appear in the CUET (UG) - 2026 examination. However, the candidates will be required to fulfill the age criteria (if any) of the University / Institution / Organization in which they are desirous of taking admission.


CHOICE OF EXAMINATION CITIES

While filling up the Online Application Form, candidates can select maximum four Convenient Cities from their Choice of Cities for the exam Centre in order of their priority. Choice of Centre Cities will be limited to the State of Permanent Address or State of Present Address only and in certain cases, only one option may also be available based on the address criteria.
