The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is conducting the Common Entrance Examination (CEE) 2026 for admission into various teacher education programmes, including B.Ed, M.Ed, and integrated courses.

Registration Start Date: May 15, 2026
Last Date to Apply: June 5, 2026
Admit Card Release: June 20, 2026
Examination Date: June 28, 2026 (Sunday)
Key Exam Details
Mode of Exam: The examination will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.
Admission Process: The final merit list is determined by both the entrance exam score (60% weightage) and your past academic record (40% weightage).
Participating Institutes: Admission is offered to various Regional Institutes of Education (RIEs) located in Ajmer, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Mysuru, Nellore, and Shillong (NERIE).
How to Apply
1. Visit the official website: cee.ncert.gov.in
2. Click on the "Registration" link for the 2026 session.
3. Complete the new candidate registration and verify your contact details.
4. Fill in the application form with your personal and academic information.
5. Upload the required documents, such as your photograph, signature, and mark sheets.
6. Pay the application fee online (General/OBC: ₹1,400; SC/ST/PwD/EWS: ₹800).
7. Submit the form and download the confirmation page for your records.
Who Can Apply
The following programmes are offered by the RIEs located at Ajmer, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Mysuru, Shillong, and Nellore. The candidates seeking admission can apply to appear in the Common Entrance Examination (CEE)- 2026: 1. Integrated M.Sc.Ed. (6-Year) 2. Integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. (3-Year) 3. Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) (2-Year) 4. Master of Education (M.Ed.) (2-Year) 5. M.A. in Education Technology (2-Year)
Eligibility of State Domicile:
The Candidate should select the appropriate State/UT against which he/she is seeking admission. As a proof of eligibility of State/UT for admission, the candidate has to compulsorily produce any one of the following documents:
(i) Evidence of having passed the qualifying examination from the State/UT as given in the advertisement and published in the CEE-2026 Website.
(ii) In case of legal guardian / guardian/ parents is an employee of State/ Central Govt. / Govt. of India undertaking / Autonomous Bodies, the latest certificate of place of posting of the legal guardian/guardian/ parents in the State/UT.
(iii) A domicile certificate/nativity certificate/residence certificate from the competent authority of the concerned State/UT.
RIE, Ajmer : For 2-year B.Ed. and 2-year M.Ed. programme at RIE Ajmer: Candidates from the States/UTs of (1) Chandigarh, (2) Delhi, (3) Haryana, (4) Himachal Pradesh, (5) Jammu and Kashmir, (6) Ladakh, (7) Punjab, (8) Rajasthan, (9) Uttar Pradesh, and (10) Uttarakhand are eligible to apply.
RIE, Bhubaneswar : For 2-year B.Ed. Programme at RIE Bhubaneswar: Only the candidates from the States/UT of (1) Andaman and Nicobar Islands, (2) Bihar, (3) Jharkhand, (4) Odisha, and (5) West Bengal are eligible to apply. For 2-year M.Ed. programme at RIE, Bhubaneswar: Only the candidates from the States/UT of (1) Andaman and Nicobar Islands, (2) Arunachal Pradesh, (3) Assam, (4) Bihar, (5) Jharkhand, (6) Manipur, (7) Meghalaya, (8) Mizoram, (9) Nagaland, (10) Odisha, (11) Sikkim, (12) Tripura, and (13) West Bengal are eligible to apply.
RIE, Bhopal :For 2-year B.Ed. and 2-year M.Ed. programme at RIE, Bhopal: Only the candidates from the States/UT of (1) Chhattisgarh, (2) Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, (3) Goa, (4) Gujarat, (5) Madhya Pradesh, and (6) Maharashtra are eligible to apply. For 3-year B.Ed.-M.Ed. at RIE Bhopal: The candidates from all States/UTs of India are eligible to apply.
RIE, Mysuru : For 6-year M.Sc.Ed. in Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics programme at RIE, Mysuru: The candidates from all States/UTs of India are eligible to apply. For 2-year B.Ed. and 2-year M.Ed. programme at RIE, Mysuru: Only the candidates from the States/UTs of (1) Andhra Pradesh, (2) Karnataka, (3) Kerala, (4) Lakshadweep, (5) Puducherry, (6) Tamil Nadu, and (7) Telangana are eligible to apply.
NERIE, Shillong : For 2-year B.Ed. programme at NERIE, Shillong: Only the candidates from the States of (1) Arunachal Pradesh, (2) Assam, (3) Manipur, (4) Meghalaya, (5) Mizoram, (6) Nagaland, (7) Sikkim, and (8) Tripura are eligible to apply. RIE, Nellore For 2-year M.A. Education Technology programme at RIE, Nellore: The candidates from all States/UTs of India are eligible to apply.
