Recruitment of 20,000 Anganwadi maids and helpers will begin in April in Bihar

Nursery Teacher Training (NTT) is highly recommended for Anganwadi workers in Bihar, as it aligns with the goals of Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), enhances skills in child psychology, and improves pre-school teaching methods. The 1-2 year diploma is ideal for increasing employment opportunities in rural education initiatives.
The selection process for over 20,000 Sevika-Sahayika will begin across the state after April. According to the Social Welfare Department, 114,000 Anganwadi centers operate in Bihar. The department has already initiated correspondence for the approval of 18,000 new Anganwadi centers, and the approval process is in the final stages. Permission to operate new centers will be granted by March 31st. In the first phase, recruitment will begin at 9,000 centers. According to the department, the recruitment process for Sevika-Sahayika will begin at over 2,200 existing Anganwadi centers.
The selection process for this will begin in separate districts on April 1st. According to the department, it has been found that many existing centers have vacant positions for Sevika-Sahayika.
New sites will be identified from March 10th: The department has directed all CDPOs to begin identifying new sites from March 10th. The instructions state that they should identify all sites where there are nearby Anganwadi centers. They should also consider those locations where children have to travel far for nutrition and primary education due to the lack of a center nearby. New centers will be established based on reports from the districts.
