Choose an Admission Route:

You can secure admission through three main pathways:

  • National Entrance Exams: The most prominent is CUET (UG), which is now used for admission to several central universities and ICAR-affiliated institutions. The ICAR AIEEA (UG) is the primary gateway for 15%–20% of seats in state agricultural universities.
  • State-Level Entrance Exams: Most states conduct their own tests for the remaining 80%–85% of seats in their respective government colleges. Examples include:
  • MHT CET (Maharashtra)
  • KCET (Karnataka)
  • KEAM (Kerala)
  • UPCATET (Uttar Pradesh)
  • BCECE (Bihar)

  • University-Specific Exams & Direct Admission: Some private and deemed universities like LPU (LPUNEST) or SAGE University (SEE) conduct their own exams. A few private colleges offer direct admission based solely on 12th-grade merit.

Application Process:

  • Appear for Exam: Tests usually cover Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Math/Agriculture.
  • Counselling: Qualified candidates are called for counselling where they choose their preferred colleges based on their rank.
  • Seat Allotment: Seats are allotted based on rank, category, and availability. You must then verify original documents and pay the admission fee to confirm your seat.
