CUET UG Exam Postponed, NTA will Announce the New Dates Shortly

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed the CUET UG exams: Revised Shedule To Be Announced Soon

The CUET UG 2026 examinations are being conducted from May 11 to May 31, 2026.

However, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed the exams scheduled for May 28, 2026 (both shifts) due to a revision in the Id-ul-Zuha (Bakrid) holiday.

Key Exam Details & Schedule
  • Overall Exam Window: May 11 – May 31, 2026.
  • Mode of Exam: Computer-Based Test (CBT).
  • Daily Slots: Shift 1 (9:00 AM to 12:00 PM) and Shift 2 (3:00 PM to 6:00 PM).
  • May 28 Postponement: Fresh revised dates for the affected May 28 papers will be announced shortly by the NTA.
  • Admit Cards: Initially released on May 5, 2026. If you had a center change, a revised admit card was made available on May 9, 2026.

Candidates affected by the May 28 postponement and those looking for their specific subject date sheet are advised to keep a close eye on the NTA CUET UG Portal for the updated timetable and latest official notifications.

Syllabus:

The CUET UG 2026 syllabus is divided into three distinct sections. The exam is strictly based on the Class 12 NCERT curriculum for domain subjects, while the Language and General Test sections evaluate fundamental comprehension, general knowledge, and quantitative reasoning.

Section I: Languages (IA & IB)
This section tests your language proficiency and comprehension.
  • Topics: Reading Comprehension (Factual, Literary, and Narrative), Literary Aptitude, and Vocabulary.
  • Languages Available: Includes English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu (plus additional foreign languages in IB).
Section II: Domain-Specific Subjects
This section evaluates your grasp of specific subjects taught at the Class 12 level. You can select subjects depending on the requirements of the university you are applying to.
  • Core Subjects: Accountancy, Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Economics, History, Mathematics/Applied Mathematics, Physics, Political Science, and Sociology.
  • Other Subjects: Geography, Geology, Environmental Science, Mass Media, Performing Arts, and Fine Arts.
Section III: General Test
This test is mandatory for certain courses and general university requirements.
  • General Knowledge & Current Affairs
  • General Mental Ability & Numerical Ability
  • Quantitative Reasoning: Basic arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and mensuration (up to Class 8 level)
  • Logical & Analytical Reasoning
