Locations: Centers are located across 26 countries, including major hubs in the Middle East (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain) and in nations like Nigeria and Uganda.

2026 Disruptions: Due to regional tensions, exams scheduled for March 2, 2026, in the Middle East were postponed. A review was scheduled for March 3, 2026, to decide on subsequent exams.

Reason: "Prevailing situation" and safety concerns in the region.

Examination Procedures: The exams follow the same, or similar, rules as those in India, frequently utilizing Indian schools and sometimes Embassies/Chancelleries as centers.

Student Participation: Over 43.6 lakh students participate, including those in foreign schools.

Next Steps: The CBSE will review the situation on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, to decide on the status of exams scheduled from March 5 onwards.

Action for Students: Students are advised to stay in touch with their schools and check official CBSE announcements for revised dates.

The board clarified that this is a direct response to current security concerns and warned against trusting unauthorized, viral, or "fake" notices regarding the situation.
